CBL attorneys have assisted clients with navigating audit and enforcement activities at FERC. Current activities include collaborative work with clients in the context of ongoing audits and in-depth involvement in audit preparation, including compliance reviews and the development of compliance policies and procedures.

CBL attorneys have represented clients in every major shale area in the U.S. with respect to greenfield and brownfield liquids pipeline projects, assisting clients in the development of their rate designs and capacity access structures in a manner that achieves commercial objectives while meeting applicable regulatory standards.

CBL has significant experience supporting energy-related transactions and financings. We partner with M&A and Capital Markets colleagues at other firms to provide regulatory support with respect to the purchase and sale of regulated energy companies and/or their regulated assets.

Attorneys with CBL have advised clients on the development and financing of rail served products terminals, the lease and use of rail cars for the transportation of oil by rail, complex commercial agreements for the operation of rail and barge related products terminals, and regulatory and commercial provisions related to the connection of pipeline, rail and barge modes.

From administrative litigation to domestic and international projects, CBL attorneys have significant experience in the natural gas pipeline industry.

As part of their pipeline practice, CBL attorneys have represented clients in transactions and in matters concerning both federal and state regulation of pipelines carrying CO2, anhydrous ammonia, ethylene, propylene, and coal slurry.
